OUR KANGAROO ISLAND WINE SPONSORS:
The Islander Estate: Jacques Lurton is a prominent French winemaker who fell in love with Kangaroo Island and established The Islander Estate Vineyards in the year 2000. Kangaroo Island is a vigneron’s paradise. The ample sunshine, offset by cool maritime breezes, helps produce wines of elegance, concentration and restrained power. Click here
Woolybud winery: Woolybud wines are grown on the fertile plateau in the centre of Kangaroo Island, near Parndana. The vineyard was the Dennis Families project with the first plantings in 1998. Recently the property was sold but there are many delightful red wines in storage for you to try. Click here
Dudley Wines: Dudley Wines is a hands-on family business. Established in 1997, it is Kangaroo Island’s Pioneer Winery. The Dudley Cellar Door is situated 12 km from Penneshaw on the clifftops of Kangaroo Island’s stunning north coast, where you can taste their locally grown and produced award-winning wines paired with gourmet pizzas and platters.
Dudley wines reflect the personality of the Island and the winemaker, 5th generation Islander, Brodie Howard. Brodie likes experimenting with unique blends but has also received accolades for his traditional varietals. Dudley is known for its fun and intriguing wine names, including the ‘Shearing Shed Red’, ‘The Savvy Sauvy’, and ‘Porky Flat Shiraz’, all of which have a story to tell! Click here
Visit Kangaroo Island Spirit: At their award-winning distillery on Kangaroo Island, Jon and Sarah Lark handmake high-quality liqueurs and spirits. KIS products reflect local and native ingredients such as wild fennel, ligurian honey and native juniper berries. Visit the KIS cellar door at Cygnet River, on the highway between Kingscote and the Kangaroo Island airport. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm and open 7 days during school/public holidays (or by arrangement) for tastings, tours, sales, espresso coffee, T-Bar teas, affogato and blackboard specials. |
