Vivonne Bay Store is situated on the south coast just a kilometer from Australia’s number one beach. It is a community store serving nearly a third of the island so therefore carries a full range of requirements for both locals and holidaymakers.

Petrol/Diesel is available along with gas cannister refilling. Groceries, fruit/veg, meats, dairy, hardware, souveniers, and a takeaway bottleshop are amongst our wares. We support Kangaroo Island producers, and stock various cheeses, wines, honey, jams and sauces, books written by locals along with handmade souveniers.

We carry an extensive menu for eat-in or takeaway, and whilst there you must try our two specialities.

Ask our friendly staff about the allday English breakfast,[ yes, the owners are English ], and also our famous, as seen on tv, Whiting Burger. made as follows:

A toasted sesame seed roll with a spread of Tartare sauce, filled with a bed of lettuce. Butterfly wings of tomato and cucumber down each side, with a large deep fried piece of locally caught King George Whiting in the middle. A drizzle of mayonaise, a sprinkle of chopped parsley to garnish and a wedge of lemon. A meal fit for a king!

We look forward to serving you and would be pleased to advise on all the local “must see” tourist spots. Store open 7 days, from 8 till 7, kitchen hours, 8 till 6pm.
