Try the Island’s produce, meet the Island’s producers
The monthly Kangaroo Island Farmers’ Market in Penneshaw is a popular event with locals and visitors alike, bringing local farmers, growers, bakers, home gardeners and a range of artisan producers together with the Island’s community and visitors, who come to taste and learn about the ever-growing range of local produce from the producers themselves.
Each month the seasonal selection might include local lamb and small goods, olive oil, organic honey, biodynamic eggs, fresh water crayfish, oysters (in season), sheep cheeses and yoghurts, sticky figs and fig syrup, handmade cordials, curry pastes, chutneys and relishes, local wine, old fashioned biscuits and a range of other handmade delectables, all complemented by fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables.
The experience is completed by wine and product tastings, cooked breakfast and lunch, delicious coffee and a great village atmosphere in a spectacular location right alongside the beach in Penneshaw.
The Kangaroo Island Farmers Market is held the first Sunday of every month, 9am to 1pm, by the beach, Lloyd Collins Reserve, Penneshaw.

protect the integrity of the Island’s produce. Regional
food groups have been established throughout South Australia
