Andermel Marron - Marron are freshwater
crayfish, an up market, boutique delicacy for restaurants
and cafes. Andermel is one of the larger commercial producing
marron farms in Australia which also offers visitors the
opportunity to see them up close and understand the operating
detail of a modern marron farm and the life cycle of this
interesting crustacean. Their delights can then be experienced
in the Cafe. Alternately, farm gate sales allow the visitor
to take away marron of their choice to create their own
feast.
Marron Cafe - Offering food and wine lovers
a unique gastronomical experience in a relaxing, rural setting
showcasing a range of delicious marron dishes and Two Wheeler
Creek Wines. The sauvignon blanc is just so good with marron.
The chef uses farm grown native herbs including lemon myrtle
and mountain pepper to prepare some sauces which give meals
an exclusively Australian flavour. Sauces are also on sale
commercially. In addition steak, chicken, daily specials
and sweets are available to tempt any palate.
Diners can choose from any of the Two Wheeler Wines
to compliment their meals from the stunning Sauvignon Blanc
or Chardonnay to the very popular Shiraz or Cab Sauvs. For
special occasions or for pure indulgence the sparklings
shiraz/cab or sparkling chardonnay or maybe the lemon myrtle
liqueur to finish just add that something extra.
It's without a a doubt a complete
food and wine experience that captures everything that is
special about Kangaroo Island. 'One of the Best Meals on
Kangaroo Island' is a frequent compliment to the Chef.

protect the integrity of the Island’s produce. Regional
